Before he goes to college... Lake Jackson, TX family photographer

I don't typically work with families with older children. Not because I don't want to. I think it's just difficult to talk teenagers into family photos. And many parents don't really think of doing family photos once their kids aren't little anymore. But with their son heading off to college, it was important for these guys to remember this time. And I just LOVE these photos!

This sweet girl in these photos just stole my heart! I think she is stunning! And what makes a beautiful girl even more beautiful is when she doesn't seem to be aware of her beauty. Miss L... you are so beautiful! I hope you can see that in these photos. Thanks for humoring me and your mom so we could capture these.

We've lived in this house for about 2 1/2 years. When we moved here, I got the smaller of the two offices, which is really a mudroom. I've pretty much hated it since we moved in. I've complained and whined and then I finally decided that enough was enough! So with just some minor contract work, paint, and some new and re-purposed stuff, we converted our unused "formal" living room into my new office! I'm so excited about it! The plan is to start meeting with potential clients and clients here in my home now. This room is very me! What do you think? Isn't it awesome?? I think that little pillow on the purple couch pretty much sums it up.

Back in February, I did two Saturdays full of boudoir photos here at my home. It was so fun and the ladies, and myself, couldn't have been happier with the photos. For me and for my subjects, doing these photos was bold and empowering. And I think all of our confidence levels were boosted up several notches! I could go on and on. And I wish I could post lots of photos, but in an effort to maintain a relatively family friendly blog, I'll just leave you with these two. These are a couple of the tamest ones I could find. ;-)

The "middles" - Lake Jackson, TX child photographer

I recently set up one of my studio lights in our bedroom and got some pictures of our two middle children. Mikey is five and Brittany is almost four. They are good buddies and almost always together. They are affectionately known as "the middles."

I am loving our new bedroom setup. In January a friend helped me redo our bedroom. I wanted to do boudoir photos here at my home and I knew I needed a lovely space to do that in. I love how the room turned out. And the boudoir photos worked out GREAT in that room. I think it's pretty perfect.

I have made some new pricing changes for the new year. I am still only offering digital files and albums, canvases, and story boards, but I have reduced a few things. I'm also now including a 4X6 color proof of each gallery image if the entire gallery is purchased.

Boudoir - Are you brave enough??

I'm so excited to be offering boudoir photos!! I will be doing them in my home. The cost is $300, plus tax for the session and edited images on CD, with release. The fee is payable half now and half the day of. I've already filled up January 14th. I'm willing to open up January 21st if I can get 5-7 ladies to commit. This is a great Valentine's gift for your husband. I will also offer very affordable album pricing if you interested. I will not be posting any boudoir photos online on my blog or website due to the private nature of the photos. :-) Let me know if you're interested!

These two are just so simply gorgeous. I think the photos from their engagement session perfectly display their connection and love for each other. I came home after their session and could barely pull myself away from the computer. It was so difficult to choose a few favorites. I'll be posting some photos from their wedding soon. It was beautiful and I was so honored to be there.
