Kaitlyn is a 2009 senior this year. We went out to Varner Hogg for her senior pictures. And oh my goodnes, I’m loving her pictures! It was really kind of difficult shooting out there today. There were lots of other photographers around using some of the good shady areas. We shot most of her pictures in full sun. And I’m not too proud to tell you that I find it to be very tricky shooting in full sun with a flash. I’m getting the hang of it….but I’m not 100% there yet. But man, when it works, it works! Kaitlyn is sassy and fun and maybe a tad bit crazy and I hope that shows in her pictures. I’m considering this haircut for myself. But I’m not sure that I have the personality to pull it off. Alright Miss Kaitlyn, here are a few of your pictures.

Brandi and I wandered around Angleton this afternoon and found some cool spots. Brandi has the most amazing big blue eyes! It was almost impossible to take a bad picture of this girl. She’s just so gorgeous. Here are some of my favs. Seriously, look at this gal’s eyes! Can you say “wow!”

Barrett is mister tall, dark, and handsome. And he’s pretty serious too but I got a few smiles out of him. He even played a little harmonica for me. We went out to Freeport and Surfside beach. The beach was totally nuts. We found a little patch of uninhabited beach and staked our claim. So here are some of my favorites of Barrett.

This morning Mindy and I ended up going out to Varner Hogg because a couple of other locations we had in mind didn’t work out. I’m really glad we ended up out there. I have only done one other senior session out there so it was nice to do something a little different. And there were bluebonnets all over the place. So Mindy is the first person I’ve ever photographed in bluebonnets. There were several other photographers at Varner Hogg today so we kind of had to work around each other. There was one photographer who had someone with them dressed in a bunny costume. Not my thing, but hey, whatever works for you. So anyway, here are a few of my favorites from Mindy’s session. Mindy is a fun, lighthearted, beautiful girl who is just easy to photograph and fun to hang out with.

Aaron’s smile is just contagious and I would bet that these dimples have gotten him out of plenty of trouble over the years. He is just so cute and so easy to photograph. However, he did throw a nice challenge at me with this first picture. How did I do it? I just happened to have that time machine that I invented out in my car. Okay, I didn’t really invent it. I borrowed it but still it came in very handy. He’s wanting to become a doctor, btw, which is what the lab coat is for. So, here are a few of my personal favorites from Aaron’s session.

I’ve been wanting to get a shot with the sun sneaking into the shot and throwing some glare on my lens. I think it turned out to be a pretty fun little shot. I do believe I like it. Do you see the rainbow?

Justin has the most friendly, crinkly eyes and kind face and such a kind disposition to go along with it. This young man seems older than his years….. at least in the brief time I was around him. Some people just set you at ease by their lack of pretense and he’s just one of those people. I wish you the best of luck in all you do, Justin. Here are a few of my favorites from our session this morning.

This is Nick. And he’s just a cool, creative guy who just seems to go with the flow. We went out the Jetties for a little while and then to my old standby in Freeport. I love taking pictures out there. It’s getting a little more challenging to use the same few blocks and still find stuff that looks fresh. I have a lot of favorites from this session and no offense Nick but I think my absolute favorite doesn’t even have you in it. I’m thinking a large print of your white chucks just might end up on the wall in my office. Is that weird?

Here we are again for more Freeport senior pictures. Jake and I walked around and found a couple of interesting spots I hadn’t used before. It’s really kind of sad to see all the vacant buildings all over the place. And it’s strange how few people are out and about in that part of town. Anyway, here are a few pictures from Jake’s session. The first one is my favorite. I love how the facade of the building is falling off to reveal the brick underneath.

Dylyn and I wandered around Freeport this morning for some senior pictures. And we also went out the jetties. It was really sunny, which is not always great for photography but we got some great shots anyway. Dylyn is so sweet and cute and just a pleasure to hang out with. Thanks for exploring Freeport with me this morning.

Here are a few from Michael’s senior session from this afternoon. Freeport has so many interesting backdrops for photos. The dock turned out to be a pretty cool place. I had never been there before. So thanks for your willingness to wander around Freeport with me.
