Jessica’s Bridals

I took Jessica’s bridals back in February I believe. I kind of lost track of time and I just realized that the wedding has happened by now so I can post her bridals! Sweet! So here they are. She is just a gorgeous bride. It was raining out at Varner Hogg that day so we were kind of limited to staying on the porch for most of the pictures. We did very quickly venture out into the grass for one shot.

I’ve got more bridals of another bride I need to get up too. I need to get with the program!

Ashleigh – senior 2009

She’s got the look……

Ashleigh (and her mom) are just so cute. I had so much fun hanging out with them. I think her mom and I could be bffs…. but she’s kind of cooler than me. Anyway, here are few of my favorites from Ashleigh’s session. Just check out her gorgeous eyes! I especially love her eyes in the third one down.

Kaitlyn is a 2009 senior this year. We went out to Varner Hogg for her senior pictures. And oh my goodnes, I’m loving her pictures! It was really kind of difficult shooting out there today. There were lots of other photographers around using some of the good shady areas. We shot most of her pictures in full sun. And I’m not too proud to tell you that I find it to be very tricky shooting in full sun with a flash. I’m getting the hang of it….but I’m not 100% there yet. But man, when it works, it works! Kaitlyn is sassy and fun and maybe a tad bit crazy and I hope that shows in her pictures. I’m considering this haircut for myself. But I’m not sure that I have the personality to pull it off. Alright Miss Kaitlyn, here are a few of your pictures.

Mindy – senior 2009

This morning Mindy and I ended up going out to Varner Hogg because a couple of other locations we had in mind didn’t work out. I’m really glad we ended up out there. I have only done one other senior session out there so it was nice to do something a little different. And there were bluebonnets all over the place. So Mindy is the first person I’ve ever photographed in bluebonnets. There were several other photographers at Varner Hogg today so we kind of had to work around each other. There was one photographer who had someone with them dressed in a bunny costume. Not my thing, but hey, whatever works for you. So anyway, here are a few of my favorites from Mindy’s session. Mindy is a fun, lighthearted, beautiful girl who is just easy to photograph and fun to hang out with.

I first photographed Landon when he was about 3 months old. Now he is a big boy at 1 whole year old. He is just so inquisitive and such a little charmer. Maybe boys aren’t supposed to be “pretty” but this little boy is just that. Here’s a sneak peek. I’m not sure but I think my favorite might be the second one. I really liked that tree. I’m glad out leaves are finally changing colors.

This morning I decided to try a little shoot with my own boys out at Varner Hogg. I had to go out there anyway because I left my white fuzzy bath mat there when I did pictures of the sisters last week. It seemed like such a waste to drive all the way out there and then not take any pictures of anybody. So we packed up the boys and drove out there to let them run around. I figured if I managed to get any decent pictures of Mikey it would be worth the trip. And lo and behold…..

I can’t even believe my own eyes. And guess what?? There are even more! But I really need to work on client orders today so I don’t have time to work on these right now. I just had to post a couple. I only managed to get one picture of both boys in the frame without Mikey screaming or blurry. And it’s not great, but it exists. Sometimes you just have to let your wishes go and take what the kids give you. There will be more of my boys in a few days after I’m caught up on some other stuff.

Sisters at Varner Hogg Plantation

I had to reschedule these girls because of some bad weather issues (Thanks, Ike) and a funeral. FINALLY today we were able to get together for pictures. These little girls were so patient and well behaved. Mom, I think they deserve extra candy for being so wonderful this morning!

I’m not exactly sure what their mom was doing behind my head in the first picture. Whatever it was, it worked like a charm.
