My new office!!! - Lake Jackson, TX family child wedding photographer

We've lived in this house for about 2 1/2 years. When we moved here, I got the smaller of the two offices, which is really a mudroom. I've pretty much hated it since we moved in. I've complained and whined and then I finally decided that enough was enough! So with just some minor contract work, paint, and some new and re-purposed stuff, we converted our unused "formal" living room into my new office! I'm so excited about it! The plan is to start meeting with potential clients and clients here in my home now. This room is very me! What do you think? Isn't it awesome?? I think that little pillow on the purple couch pretty much sums it up.

Beautiful Anju - Lake Jackson, TX senior photographer

I've had the honor of working with this family for several years. All of the children...I mean, young adults :-) in this family are just so strikingly beautiful. I love these photos. I think they capture Anju's kind and calm spirit, but are still playful. I have no doubt that this lady will achieve her goal of being an amazing doctor, just like her daddy.

Mini album special

Pre-purchase your gallery CD when you book your family session and receive three identical mini albums. These are so cute. Must book by Sept. 30th to receive this offer! This special is for fall/winter family sessions only.

Back home - Lake Jackson, TX family photographer

These guys have been in Singapore for the last three (??) years. And they are now back home in the great state of Texas. They are good friends of our good friends, which pretty much makes them friends too. And they are expecting their third son. I have a feeling the new little guy will have beautiful eyes, quirky expressions, and lovely eyelashes. Just a hunch. What do you think?

"If Abraham & Sarah could do it, we could too!!" - Lake Jackson, TX family photographer

A couple of months back, I asked for adoptive families to submit me their family story and a photo. I selected a few families to gift a session and images to. Adoption is close to our heart and I just strongly wanted to give back to some families who have given so much of themselves.

These folks have raised four biological children and they have 12 grandchildren. They began to foster through The Arrow Project several years ago and they have since fostered 33 children!! During the time of fostering, they felt led to adopt these three precious little boys! They decided if Abraham and Sarah could raise a small child later in life, then they could do it too! I fell in love with these boys too, especially the oldest, Robert. I wanted to take him home with me. He has such a calm spirit. His eyes seem so wise to me.

Is God calling YOU to do something remarkable like this family? Could you open your home to beautiful little ones who aren't yours biologically?

Waiting for Johnsie June - Lake Jackson, TX maternity photographer

Katelyn has been sweet enough to be my friend in spite of the TEN plus year age gap! Man, I'm old. Anyway, these guys are expecting their little girl just any day and I'm so excited for them. I can't wait to meet Miss JJ. I wonder if she'll come out with a tattoo or two herself. Hopefully you'll be seeing her on this blog real soon. But in the meantime, here are her totally cool and cute parents.

Biggest blog post ever - Ben & Carlette - Lake Jackson, TX wedding photographer

*This is a huge blog post. If it takes forever to load, I'm sorry.*

"I just can't wait to marry my best friend." That's what Carlette told me before the wedding. And it was so evident at their wedding not only how in love they, but how in like they are. It's not enough to love somebody. You have to actually like them, respect them, know them, be friends. And now I'll get off my marriage advice soap box and just show you the story of their day. It was an honor to be a part of it.

For G-ma - Lake Jackson, TX family photographer

I met up with this family a few weeks back. They wanted to get together to get some pictures for G-ma. This ended up being a rather chilly morning for our area, but the kids were troopers and we got some great stuff. Because of the kids' ages, there are some funny "outtakes." You just never know what's going to happen when you're working with kiddos. :-)
